  1. Essentially, when a medicine is placed under your tongue, it diffuses
    through the mucous membranes beneath your tongue. And because of the
    plethora of capillaries there, the medicine has a fairly direct route into
    your bloodstream. This results in the medicine working faster, and
    oftentimes, better.

  2. There is no data on that. If you can find sublingual absorption of a
    protein hormone in the literature, I would be very interested. To date, it
    is not a reliable method of absorption, and if it were going directly into
    the blood, then you would see blood levels of HCG rise, which they do not.

  5. Dr Emma I am on day 4 of hcg injections and I am experiencing a great deal
    of itching all over my body. Is this normal?
